With the increasing popularity of e-cigarettes, the landscape of tobacco use among our youth has changed sharply in the years since the 1997 Settlement of Mississippi’s Medicaid Lawsuit and subsequent tobacco prevention initiatives in this state. Trend data are from the Mississippi Youth Tobacco Survey (YTS), a comprehensive tobacco survey self-administered annually to Mississippi public high school students.
