Dr. David May is a Professor in the Department of Sociology. Dr. May has published over 100 articles and six books in the areas of corrections, cybercrime, school safety, human robotics interaction, and military sociology. He is currently a PI or co-PI on three grants utilizing his expertise in these areas: (1) a grant from the Henry Foundation to examine the causes and consequences of the school-to-prison pipeline; (2) a grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) to help provide mental health services and training to criminal justice practitioners; and (3) a grant from the Department of Defense to examine use of open source data to assist military personnel in completing their missions.
