Alexis Jackson is perusing a Ph.D. in the Human Development and Family Science (HDFS) program here at Mississippi State University (MSU). She is passionate about mental health, mental illness, physical wellness, physical illnesses, human development, family interactions, and culture! Alexis obtained a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Washington State University (WSU) and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from MSU. Under the advisement of Dr. Lori Elmore-Staton, Alexis currently serves as a Graduate Research Assistant (GRA) on MSU’s Protect and Connect team. Alexis is passionate about research, appreciates the opportunity to help undergraduate students in developing their teaching skills, and values collecting feedback from participants.
