Founded in 1978 by a group of social psychologists at the University of Georgia, the Society of Southeastern Social Psychologists (SSSP) boasts a membership of over 400 students, faculty, and professional psychologists throughout the United States. Most members hail from the following states: Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, West Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, Texas, and Florida. There are no dues or fees associated with membership in SSSP. We do, however, ask for voluntary contributions at our annual Fall conference. These contributions support the Outstanding Graduate Student Research Awards, which are given to the best graduate student research presentations at our annual Fall conference. This year's conference will be held at Duke University on October 26-27, 2007. Click here for details about the conference. If you would like to be placed on the SSSP mailing list, please contact Deborah Richardson.
