Annual Meeting
October 24th and 25th, 2008

The Society of Southeastern Social
Psychologists (SSSP) is having its 30th annual meeting on Saturday,
October 25, 2008 in Greenville, South
Carolina. Please mark your calendars and save the date! A reception will
be held the evening of October 24th. Information about the conference and
SSSP (including its 30 year history) .
Early registration ends October 10th.
UPDATE
Planning for the 30th Annual SSSP conference is well underway! Be sure to
check out the conference website for details and for the updated program.
For those of you who submitted abstracts for the poster session, you will
be hearing from the program coordinators soon (Chris Leone and Louanne
Hawkins). Details about poster size requirements will also be provided.
For accommodations, rooms to the block at the Hyatt (the conference hotel)
have been added! So, if you tried unsuccessfully to make a reservation,
please try again. The link to make reservations online is:

Also, there was an error in the initial information regarding travel. The
Hyatt no longer offers free shuttle service from the GSP airport. They do
offer transportation for a fee through Atchison Transportation Services,
Inc. for approximately $20 one-way and $38 round-trip (1-877-287-2001). A
taxi should cost about the same.
Rick Hoyle (Duke University) will be giving a colloquium at Furman
University (the conference host) on October 24, 2:00 PM. All are welcome
to attend his talk. Please contact Beth Pontari if you are interested in
attending and need further information.
