Whitney Alford

Ms. Whitney Alford is a Graduate Research Assistant at the Social Science Research Center (SSRC). She is working with Dr. Ginger Cross, Assistant Research Professor for the Family and Children Research Unit at the SSRC, Dr. Chiquita Briley, Assistant Professor for Mississippi State University’s Department of Food Science, Nutrition and Health Promotion, and Dr. Sheri Worthy, Professor in the School of Human Sciences on a project titled “Partnerships to Promote Healthy Lifestyles for Children and Communities.” This project is funded by a Science Education Partnership Award (SEPA) from the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

Ms. Alford received her Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies with an emphasis in Child Life and is currently pursuing a Master of Education in Counseling Education at Mississippi State University.
