Dr. Steven Grice is an Associate Research Professor and the Associate Director of the National Strategic Planning & Analysis Research Center (nSPARC). His research interests include community sustainable development, welfare policy, and economic and workforce development. Dr. Grice’s current research focuses on the development of an integrated performance and accountability information system designed to facilitate seamless data sharing in order to assist local, regional, and state agencies involved in economic and workforce development in Mississippi.
Dr. Grice is a member of the American Sociology Association, Rural Sociological Society, Southern Sociological Society, Population Association of America, and Alabama-Mississippi Sociological Association. His work is published in Demography, Rural Sociology, Society and Natural Resources, Journal of the Community Development Society, Social Science Quarterly, Southern Rural Sociology, Sociological Spectrum, and Journal of Poverty. Dr. Grice is also an adjunct faculty member at the University of Catania in their international Ph.D. program in human sciences.
