Linda Graves
Before Ms. Graves’ retirement from Mississippi State University (MSU) in June 2008, Ms. Graves served in the capacity of Business Operations Administrator for the Social Science Research Center (SSRC) for over 20+ years. She later returned on a part-time basis as Business Manager. In this position, she assists with the fiscal year budgeting process for the Educational and General Fund (E&G) budgets: Social Science Research Center and the Mississippi Agricultural and Forestry Experiment Station (MAFES), as well as, the Legislative appropriated budget for the Mississippi Alcohol Safety Education Program (MASEP). She is responsible for providing monthly financial statements to the Director for the Center’s cost centers, overhead, appropriated (MASEP), administrative, laboratories, building and residual funds. Also, part of this monthly reporting includes funds residing in the Mississippi State University Foundation.
Ms. Graves also assist the coordinator for the Wolfgang Frese Survey Research Laboratory in the billing, posting and tracking of survey invoices. Other activities that she assists in include: post award responsibilities, project reconciliation, processing journal vouchers and signature approval for Center and Foundation accounts. She also assists the Research Scientists with management of their project budgets, subcontracts, project close outs and financial reporting to the granting agencies.
The Center maintains both administrative and research accounts with the MSU Foundation. Mrs. Graves is responsible for quarterly financial reporting to the granting agencies for the research accounts and the management of the administrative accounts.
