Ms. White is an Office Associate for the Social Science Research Center (SSRC) at Mississippi State University. She serves as travel coordinator for the Center personnel and related university staff. Ms. White manages front desk duties and assists the Facilities Director. Her expertise includes processing travel for the SSRC and departments within the SSRC, and ordering office supplies for the Center, processing cost transfers for travel, maintaining office key records and assignments for the Center staff, posting expenditures and assignments, as well as, scheduling conferences. In addition, Ms. White serves as the departmental contact for service and repairs for office machinery, supplies, and as the distribution coordinator, interacting with FedEx, UPS, Campus Mail, and Mail Services. She interacts with the facilities director for Center general repairs, rekeying, etc., as requested. Ms. White has received training in many areas, including grant writing, document design, time management, business writing, intranet functions, IRB protocols, and the use of Microsoft Office, Adobe’ Acrobat, Excel, Banner financial software and other software packages. She has designed several databases and contributed to the data input and design of the SSRC Virtual Office Telephone Directory. She created the Thad Cochran Research & Technology Park database which has been migrated to the SSRC Virtual Office, and recently created the SSRC Goggle Docs Center layout. Prior to her current position at the SSRC, Ms. White assisted in administrative duties for the MSU Football program for 10 years. Additionally, Ms. White is a 3-time Zacharias Distinguished Staff Award nominee, and 2009 recipient of that award.
