10 juin - Rode for 2 Hours

Another leisurely morning, and then finally were able to legitimately check into the municipal campsite. We washed clothes and gave a little TLC to our bikes. Then we met up with Ric and Marci - and assaulted le geant de Provence. Marci played the role of directeuse sportive and toted our rain/wind gear to the top in her car. The first 14 kilometres were hot as hell, I never really felt good until we left the trees and the breeze picked up. The last 8 km were much better. I finished the climb in 84' 30" - 5.5 minutes faster than last year. We regrouped at the summit - and were met by Marci with our wind protection. After several Kodak moments, we raced down to Bedoin. This descent is a blast - we passed several cars on the way down. Had a round of beers at our favorite brasserie. Then set up camp (a legit site), showered, and headed into town for dinner. Then back to the brasserie, after closing it down we headed to another brasserie. Finished off the evening with a few beers at the campsite.
