	In 2002, the TdM will attack the massive climbs of the Alps. Day 1 will have the riders on the slopes of the Alp d'Huez. Stopher is expected to suffer like he's never suffered before, while McMillen is expected to blow the TdM wide open. Climbs up the Col de Glandon and the Col de la Madeleine are also rumoured.
	Following the conclusion of the 2001 season, Chris Marszalek will be relocating  from Florida to Memphis. He expects that the opportunity to train on more varied terrain will help him to find his climbing legs for the 2002 TdM. A straw poll among the peloton revealed a lack of concern amongst his rivals.
	The Organization is pleased to announce that among the riders romoured to participate in the 2002 TdM are Jeffrey Shirey, Erin Winter, and Chris Casey. As defending points leader of the WBL Jeffrey would bring a certain level of prestige to the event, while Erin - being a woman- would bring the TdM into Title 9 compliance. The organization also believes that it could double its consumption of Shiner Bock and 1664 with the addition of Chris Casey.

	The route for the 2002 TdM will be announced in late October.
