Youth Session

Our inaugural class of KIDS COUNT Youth Delegates had the opportunity to share their stories first hand with our speakers and learn how they may take the ideas learned at the Summit to their classrooms across the state.  Here's what some of the delegates had to say about their experience:

  • Nelly's story touched me the most.  I will always remember it.
  • Nelly Nieblas made me feel that I can do anything.
  • I loved meeting new people.
  • I liked the interaction between students and speakers.
  • The speakers related to us younger kids and gave us a better understanding of life.  I learned a lot.
  •  I liked that we could talk about everything that goes on in life.
  • Please invite me back again next year.  This was a great opportunity.
