Founded in 1986, the Monitor Laboratory has provided data management and research facilitation services to numerous local, state, regional and national research projects.  The lab uses Visual Management and Data Visualization techniques to manage, analyze and visualize complex datasets.  Products include written reports, statistical charts, maps, animations and project videos.  The lab specializes in locating and acquiring extant datasets to facilitate research.  The lab has extensive experience with spatial technologies (GIS, GPS and Remote Sensing) and the application of these technologies to research in the social sciences.  Recent research partners include NASA, the Mississippi Department of Transportation, the Southern Association of Agriculture Experiment Station Directors and North Mississippi Health Services.
