Mr. Henderson serves as Operations Coordinator for the Mississippi Alcohol Safety Education Program which is Mississippi's driver improvement program for first time offenders convicted of driving under the influence of alcohol or another substance. He is responsible for oversight of 40 schools statewide and a part-time instructional staff of approximately 85. In addition MASEP works with approximately 600 courts and a variety of state agencies involved in law enforcement and highway safety to strengthen the DUI control system in Mississippi. Mr. Henderson and other MASEP staff serve as faculty for training programs conducted for judges and court clerks by the Mississippi Judicial College and for law enforcement officers by Sobriety Trained Officers Representing Mississippi (S.T.O.R.M.). He also serves as Project Director for the DUI Enforcement Project which provides logistical services for schools which train law enforcement officers in Complete Traffic Stop (CTS), Standardized Field Sobriety Training (SFST), and Drug Abuse Recognition (DAR). He is a member of the Mississippi Association of Highway Safety Leaders (MAHSL) and represents Mississippi on the Board of Directors of the National Organization of State Impaired Driving Programs (NOSIP). Prior to joining MASEP in February, 2004, Mr. Henderson worked at the Greenwood Leflore Hospital (Greenwood,MS) for 28 years in management positions including Director of Human Resources, Director of Clinic Administration, and Associate Executive Director.
