Dr. Gill has directed several research projects related to environmental issues in Mississippi, including water quality and agriculture in the Mississippi Delta, crop biosecurity, management of fishery resources, hazardous waste disposal, lignite coal development and natural hazards. He is currently working on a NSF-funded project on improving tsunami readiness among individuals and communities.
